  • CAMPUS LOUNGES AND SPACES FOR COMMUTER STUDENTS

    Need a place to hang out in between sessions, check out these buildings/lounge spaces below. Hours may vary depending on days/times.

    • Dickey Hall Study Spaces- Through Dick Hall, you can find various open study spaces available to all students.
    • LLE Study Space - Wright Hall Room 206 - Open spcace throughout the academic year to meet with your Peer Mentor, get assistance with study skills, or LLE assignments, or a place to study. The space can be quiet or loud depending on days and times.
    • Student Union Building (SUB) Atrrium - This is a open lounge space right inside the main door. There are couches along with some high top tables and chairs. Depending on the day and time with can be a liud of quiet space.

      • The Lair (Recreation Center) - located in Room 139 of the Student Union is a center for recreation, where students come to unwind and have fun among friends. Entertainment in the Lair ranges from console gaming systems, board games, billiards, ping pong, etc. Other activities consist of various tournaments and programming.
    • Wellness Center
      • Commuter Atrium - centrally located within the Wellness Center. This area provides seating, lounge space, and a welcoming environment for commuter students to relax, connect, and spend time between classes, (Located on the 2nd level of the building outside Counseling Services.)
      • Shared amenities: including the gym, aerobic and dance studios, climbing wall, track, locker rooms, fitness equipment, classrooms, labs, a lecture hall, conference room, and a healthy-eating café.
    • Writing and Reading Centerm Wight Hall Room 212 - offers free tutoring services to all students in all majors, and at all stages of the writing process.
  • COMMUTER PARKING:

    • Any student with fewer than 30 credits is required to obtain permission from the Office of the Dean of Students to reserve a vehicle. Complete the
      • Student Personal Vehicle Request Form.
      • Once you complete the form, you will be notified in writing via your LU email whether the request has been granted or denied.
      • The deadline to apply for this is the first day of classes for each semester.
      • Consideration is only given to students who have an extenuating circumstance that is supported by documentation.

    Parking Permit

    Once approved students will complete the parking permit including the approval email.

    Decals and stickers are available at the Department of Public Safety located in the International Cultural Center (ICC). Keep in mind that all student vehicles must be registered at the beginning of each school year. Decals from previous school years are no longer valid. In order to register a motor vehicle on campus, you must provide the following: 1. Current driver’s license 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Current registration Transcript – proof of 30 credits Current inspection sticker Valid proof of insurance Letter from vehicle owner giving permission to drive the vehicle.

    Commuter Parking
    Commuter students with a vehicle registration will park in the assigned student lots, as indicated on the campus parking map.
