Gentlemen Qualities is an organization founded on the campus of the Lincoln University of
Pennsylvania on the date of April 7th
, 2012 by Mr. Kristopher Troy Byes, that aimed to help
the African-American males on campus evolve into men of integrity, by demonstrating
chivalry, the ability to be considerate of all those they encounter and being open to
continuous personal growth. The selected Board Members of the organization will be
known as incarnate displays of a proper outcome of the right guidance, training, and
understanding from on-campus and off- campus influences. Gentlemen Qualities was not
incorporated to modify those gentlemen we encounter; but to improve on the talents and
skills that they already embody and occupy. Gentlemen Qualities is seeking to enable the
growth and pursuit of manhood with professional growth, proper development, and the
want to continue to aid and service males of both African- American decent and other
cultures on all campuses across the country. We will educate the males of Universities and
Colleges in both a social, personal, and academic environment, to build upon their personal
endeavors, while giving them all the needed skills for the professional world and their
domestic relationships. During its time of being an organization on Lincoln University’s
campus, Gentlemen Qualities has strived to make all the males on campus understand and
learn key structures in rebuilding the campus’ rapport amongst ourselves, faculty and staff,
while giving other institutions of higher education a phenomenal guideline to achieving
academic and professional excellence. No matter the arena place or conflict faced,
Gentlemen Qualities will allow the praise and acknowledgement of outstanding
achievements to be shown for inspiration and motivation to those who need it to continue

We, the members of Inferno Dance Company, seek to promote positive images of our organization by encouraging activities, community service projects, trust, reliability, friendship, a love of our organization and people, and honoring Lincoln University and her rich heritage and history. We also seek to become productive undergraduates while we are here, and contributing alumni when we graduate.

Executive Board members of Inferno Dance Company are elected to represent our constituents. We will participate in community service projects, organization events, University events, and work with the Student Government Association to learn how it operates and functions in serving the student body as a whole.

As Executive Board members of Inferno Dance Company we realize that each position we hold on this board requires diligence, character, and various other qualities mirrored in leaders. As members of the first Historically Black College and University, we often have a tendency to become lost in the fray of activities and the onslaught of new situations. To help remedy this, Inferno opens the door to various campus leadership positions and allows the opportunity to develop a valuable network of contacts on campus.

We want our members to be able to tell their story through movement while networking with other dance teams through competitions, classes and workshops. We want to further embrace the culture of dance not only on Lincoln University's campus but the HBCU culture as well. Through unity, cleanliness, and strength, we are the heat that is inferno!

Writing: it's an essential skill for students and in many careers. But putting words down on a page and expressing yourself clearly can be a daunting challenge for even the most experienced students and professionals.

Fortunately, at Lincoln University, assistance is available. The Writing and Reading Center (WRC) offers free tutoring services to all students in all majors, and at all stages of the writing process. If you're working on an essay for a class and need to know if it'll make the grade, you can submit it to the center and have it reviewed at no cost. To submit your essay online for review, click here.

You can also visit the WRC and work directly with our qualified, caring staff. Our tutors are dedicated to offering you the highest standard of academic excellence in tutoring, writing, and reading. When you visit the WRC, you can:

Receive individual tutoring on writing and reading: no appointment necessary.
Write and conduct research at more than 6 work stations, outfitted with Microsoft Office.
Prepare or revise the Writing Proficiency Program portfolio.
Write and revise resumes, cover letters, and graduate school personal statements.
Get feedback on a senior or master’s capstone or thesis.
Get help with proper citations and formatting.
WRC hours of operation are Monday - Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m and Fridays 11:00 am. to 4:00 pm. We are located in Wright Hall, Room 212. Walk-ins are welcome.
