Welcome to Health Services at Lincoln University

The Office of Health Services is committed to supporting the health, safety, and success of every Lincoln University student. We provide comprehensive medical care and health education programs that address primary healthcare needs, foster personal growth and development, and align with the University’s mission and core values.

Our dedicated staff evaluates and treats enrolled students for illness and injury, while also ensuring that all incoming students meet admission health requirements through immunization and health history reviews. By doing so, we help establish a strong foundation for each student’s well-being and success throughout their Lincoln journey.

At Health Services, we believe that health is an essential part of academic and personal achievement. Through education, co-curricular programs, and individualized care, we empower students to take an active role in safeguarding their wellness, developing healthy lifestyles, and recognizing the connection between health and their life paths. In partnership with on- and off-campus providers, we work to reduce health challenges that may disrupt academic progress and to promote a culture of wellness across our campus community.

By valuing their health now, students not only enhance their Lincoln experience but also prepare to be responsible, engaged citizens in the global community. At Lincoln University Health Services, our goal is simple: to keep our students well, supported, and equipped for excellence.

Confidentiality
In 1996 the United States Congress passed a law called The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, or HIPPA. This law protects how your health information is accessed and disclosed. This means that information shared in Counseling Services cannot be released to professors, other university offices, family members, friends, or anyone without the student’s written permission. There are some exceptions to confidentiality involving imminent risk of self-harm or abuse of others.

Medication Policy and Psychiatric Services
Counseling Services do not prescribe or monitor psychotropics or any other medications. We partnered with TimelyCare to increase students' access to psychiatric care by offering convenient, no-cost virtual services that can be accessed anytime from any device. This allows students to connect with licensed psychiatrists through secure video or phone sessions, providing essential support for those needing medication management or specialized mental health treatment. In addition, we collaborate with community partner organizations across the surrounding tri-states—Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, and New York—to ensure students residing in these areas can access in-person mental health services and resources. These partnerships help facilitate referrals, provide local support options, and ensure that all students, regardless of their location, receive comprehensive mental health care tailored to their needs. Through this combined approach, we expand access and support student wellness across multiple communities.
