EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR POSTER PRESENTATION IN 2025

POSTER (40%)

1. Abstract and Background Information 10%
The abstract should summarize the problem which was investigated and the experimental design. At the beginning of the presentation, briefly summarize past research/work on the topic and explain its relationship to the present study. Include a description of how, when and why the work was done.

2. Materials and Methods 15%
Present precise, but concise descriptions of the procedures used.

3. Poster Format 15%
The poster will be judged on both quality and content. It must be well organized and easily understood without additional explanation. Tables, graphs, data, drawings, etc. should be used in an advantageous manner.

PRESENTATION (60%)

1. Application of Research 30%
Student must present the data in an orderly manner and discuss it concisely. Briefly summarize the data presented and draw logical conclusions that do not extend beyond the information provided. The presenter must show an overall understanding of the research study.

2. Presenter 30%
The presenter must use appropriate voice (rate, tone, and volume), gestures and eye contact when explaining research. Scientific diction is expected to be used correctly. Answers to questions should convey the student’s grasp of the subject matter. Student must present in a well-organized manner.
