Transition to Lincoln: New Student Onboarding Experience

Lincoln University's Transition to Lincoln experience is a series of required programs designed to support your successful transition from admitted student to active member of the Lincoln community. Through these programs, you will build connections, learn about campus resources, prepare for academic success, and develop a strong foundation for your first year.

Lion Link Up

(Pre-Orientation)
June-August 2026

Lion Link Up is required for all new first-year and transfer students and is your first opportunity to connect with Lincoln before arriving on campus. During this required summer program, students and families receive important information about academics, financial aid, campus resources, registration, and next steps while meeting fellow students and university staff.

Ready to Roar

(Asynchronous Onboarding)
June - August

Ready to Roar is Lincoln University's virtual onboarding experience. Through a series of self-paced modules, students learn about Lincoln's history and traditions, academic expectations, support services, involvement opportunities, and strategies for success. The program helps students arrive on campus informed, connected, and prepared for their first semester. This MUST be completed before move-in on August 16th.

New Student Orientation
(NSO) Week

(In-Person Programming)
August 16-23, 2026

Required for all new first-year and transfer students, New Student Orientation Week takes place August 16–23 and serves as the official start of your Lincoln experience. Throughout the week, students build friendships, connect with Peer Mentors, meet faculty and staff, explore campus resources, finalize important enrollment tasks, and learn what it means to be a member of the Lincoln community.
